Background
Jill’s journey in nursing is marked by a profound commitment to service and a diverse range of experiences that have shaped her into a highly skilled and compassionate healthcare professional. Joining WebMed in August of 2022, Jill brings a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of mental health care to her role.
Born and raised in the Duluth/Two Harbors, MN area, Jill’s passion for nursing was cultivated early on. She earned her nursing degree from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, then later completed the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at Duke University in Durham, NC.
Jill’s nursing career began at Lakeview Hospital & Home in Two Harbors, MN, where she gained valuable experience in Med/Surg and long-term care. Her path then led her to the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, where she served for 9 years on Active Duty, including a deployment to Iraq. During her time in the military, Jill provided care to wounded, injured, and ill Service Members and their families, serving as an ANCC board certified Nurse Case Manager with a focus on behavioral health issues and traumatic brain injury.
After her military service, Jill continued her dedication to mental health care as a Government employee, supporting Service Members and their families in Alaska and North Carolina with the United States Army Special Operations Command. Inspired by her experiences, Jill pursued her passion for mental health by transitioning into the role of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) upon her return to Minnesota in Aug 2021.
Jill’s unique background, coupled with her unwavering dedication to improving the lives of others, makes her an invaluable member of the WebMed team. Her commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate care is evident in her work, as she continues to positively impact the well-being of individuals in need.
